A Aether-infused creature is one that has been magically altered by proximity to the raw power of the Aether itself. Aether-infused creatures are sometimes deliberately created by open exposure to Aetheric Ley Lines, but creatures that simply dwell in areas of powerful Aether connections are sometimes born with this template.
Creating A Aether-infused Creature
“Aether-infused creature” is an acquired or inherited template that can be added to any creature (referred to hereafter as the base creature).
An Aether-infused creature uses all the base creature’s statistics and special abilities except as noted here.
Size and Type: The creature’s type remains the same. Size is unchanged.
Special Qualities: An Aether-infused creature has all the special qualities of the base creature, plus detect magic and infused power.
Detect Magic(Ex): An Aether-infused creature is intimately connected with all magic and is able to cast Detect Magic as a free action with level equal to its HD.
Infused Power (Su): In a region of Aetheric Ley Lines, the Aether-infused creature gains a +2 deflection bonus to Armor Class and a +2 luck bonus on attack and damage rolls. If the creature leaves the area of Aether, it loses these bonuses but regains them when it returns.
Saving Throws: An Aether-infused creature receives a +2 bonus on saves against all spells and effects.
Challenge Rating: Same as the base creature +1.
Level Adjustment: +1.
